Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but choosing your vendors doesn’t have to be! Your vendor team plays a crucial role in bringing your vision to life and making your wedding day smooth and stress free. You want to pick those that 1) fit your style, 2) fit your budget, 3) their personality aligns with yours, and 4) they are a team player! Calgary has no shortage of wedding vendors, so how do you narrow it down without spending hours and hours on research? That is where this “Calgary Wedding Vendors Recommendation” guide comes in! I have put together a short list of people who have over and over proved that they are professional, provide high quality product/service and are great to work with.
There are so many amazing professionals in this industry, but to keep this guide concise, I’ll focus on 3-4 for each category. For vendors who you will be spending extended period of time with(think photographer, planner, videographer) I always recommend to schedule a call with at least a couple to get a sense of their personality. You want to make sure you feel comfortable with them!
Photographer
Before reaching out to photographers to get their availability and pricing, decide on the style of photos you want. The list below shows variety of styles – bright and airy, editorial, photojournalistic/documentary, dark and moody.. you get the idea!
Videographer
Just like with photographers, there are different style of videography – traditional, storytelling, documentary.. browse through their portfolios to see what feels right!

Did you know florists also have different styles? Although they often have the skills to create any design you envision, you’ll notice in their portfolio there are specific looks they excel in and lean towards. Some may focus on loose organic arrangements more, while others specialize in tight tied florals.
