Discover John and Kerry’s elegant rustic wedding at the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, featuring a garden ceremony, cocktail-style reception, and indoor-outdoor seating in Calgary.

Nestled in the heart of Calgary’s picturesque Fish Creek Provincial Park, the Bow Valley Ranche provided the perfect backdrop for John and Kerry’s dream wedding. With its charming rustic elements and serene natural beauty, the venue set the stage for a day that had both elegant and casual feel. From the enchanting garden ceremony to the cocktail-style reception, every detail of this wedding was thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple’s vision.

Because of the convenient location of the venue, Kerry and John were able to capture all moments of the day within the Fish Creek Provincial Park. From their first look on the pathway surrounded by a tree alley, to the sunset photos in the open fields.

Ceremony

The couple exchanged vows in the venue’s lush gardens. The ceremony was accompanied by the soft melodies of a string duo which was a surprise set up by Kerry! The garden setting, with its greenery and vibrant blooms, provided a naturally beautiful backdrop. As a result, the couple was able to keep their decorations minimal yet impactful.

Reception

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a casual cocktail-style reception. Indoor and outdoor seating encouraged mingling and enjoying the beautiful weather. The relaxed seating arrangement fostered conversation and connection, creating an inviting and warm atmosphere. This choice reflected John and Kerry’s desire for their wedding to feel like a personal gathering with loved ones.

The reception’s highlight was the large food spread. Guests enjoyed a variety of flavours and textures. The menu featured gourmet bites and classic comfort foods, thus ensuring something for everyone. In addition, artfully arranged platters added visual appeal, matching the delightful taste.
