About Kate
When I discovered event planning, I suddenly understood the saying “choose a job you like, and you will never have to work a day in your life”.
Don’t get me wrong, wedding planning is a lot of work, but I love it!! haha
Growing up in the Czech Republic, I always enjoyed planning events and gatherings. It wasn`t until I moved to Vancouver, BC, that I decided to make a career out of it! As a certified International Event and Wedding Planner, I started working for venues as a coordinator and assistant, and later as Events Manager. I have put together a variety of events ranging from weddings to corporate parties.
As much as working for venues has been exciting and rewarding, I craved stronger personal relationships with my clients. Events by Kate started as a hobby and slowly grew into a business. In spring 2019 I moved from Vancouver (BC) to Airdrie (AB), excited for all the opportunities coming my way!
My creativity, organizational skills and love for everything weddings and events has helped me deliver excellent service to my clients and create strong relationships with vendors in the event industry.
I am in the “business of love” and for me, love can come in any shape and form and is always worth celebrating! Events by Kate is LGBTQ+ inclusive, I am Certified Inclusive Professional (CIP), and I aim to work with like-minded vendors and couples.
On a more personal note, I love spending time with my puppy Ava, I enjoy cooking, but I love eating even more! I am also a serious FRIENDS fan and I never get tired talking weddings and events!
